King Bowser Koopa, also known as simply "Bowser", is the main antagonist of the Super Mario franchise. He has repeatedly attempted to kidnap Princess Peach, with several attempts being successful, in an attempt to take over the Mushroom Kingdom.
Description[]
Bowser resembles a bipedal turtle with sharp claws on his hands. His skin is golden and scaly. Two horns sit on top his head. His shell is green and has spiks. His hair is red, and his limbs have spiky black bands. His Meowser form gives him leonine features and orange fur and makes his shell brown.
Despite his villainous nature, Bowser has been given heroic roles for some games. Super Paper Mario, for example, has him put aside his rivalry with Mario and urges to kidnap Princess Peach to save the world from destruction.
In the Game[]
Bowser makes his first appearance in the game's intro, where he takes all of the Sprixie Princesses. You battle him in 3 levels, which are all Castle stages. The first is in World 1's Castle, Bowser's Highway Showdown, where he appears in a car. In World 7's Castle, Bowser's Lava Lake Keep, he does the same thing. However, he takes all the sprixies again once you get them all back. After this, you fight 5 of him as a cat. After his defeat, Bowser also gets trapped within a bottle, presumably as karma.
